It is that time of the year again! State Convention is right around the corner. I want to
pass
Along a couple of items of interest to all of you:
1. Packets will be emailed out the first part of March so please watch your EMAIL!
2. If you had a delegate/member in attendance at State Convention last year you
will receive your Credential forms by snail mail so watch for them.
3. If you have someone attending State Convention this year but you do not receive
the Credential form(s) please let me know. You can reach me at 319-350-3966.
DO NOT WAIT UNTIL MAY 15 TO LET ME KNOW YOU NEED A
CREDENTIAL FORM!
4. Please watch your EMAIL and State Bulletin for updates to Information on State
Convention.
If you need the information for the Verna Funke Scholarship Application, Woman of the
Year Award, Alta B. Smith Woman of the Year, Ritual Hall of Fame, or Hall of Fame
Guidelines please let me know and I will get them to you,. These are also in the State
Guideline book all local Secretaries, State Officers and Past State Presidents received a
few years ago when they were updated.

​Glenwood Iowa Eagles #3784 had THREE winners in the Children’s Art Contest this year!
Congratulations to our community’s young artists! Way to go kids!
1. Grace Whigham 1st place for 5th Grade “Parrot” $200 prize (This is Grace’s 3rd year as a participant and winner!)
2. Xenia Hernandez 3rd place for 6th Grade “Snakes” $75 prize
3. Jezebel Nord 4th Place for 6th Grade “Joker” $50 prize

For those of you aware of the Grand Worthy President Chuck Weber's visit to Iowa, the venue schedule has changed. The Waterloo stop has been changed to Albia for Thursday. Albia Aerie is open at 4pm for meet and greet and bingo to follow. He will then visit Oskaloosa Eagles Aerie 276 on Friday, Eagles Club #1398 Creston, IA on Saturday and Des Moines Fraternal Order of Eagles 109 on Sunday. ​

Starting time is tentatively set for noon on Friday, April 12, 2024

I will be the liaison for all Aerie ritual information.
We really need experienced judges and tally people.
Rick Kielion, South Omaha #154, has graciously agreed to assist Steve Langton with Ritual, as Steve cannot be in Omaha until Friday evening.
Rick is a long standing ritualist, competing on all levels.

Grand Madam President - Becky Wilson's Iowa Visit

GMP Becky Wilson will be visiting IOWA from March 6th – March 8th, 2024! We hope you can join us at one of these events to meet this lovely lady from the State of Missouri, who leads our Organization!

6:30 pm – All State Ritual - Followed by Social Hour

March 7, 2024 – Albia Auxiliary
4:00 - 5:00 pm – Social Hour
5:30 pm – Dinner Followed by a Short program and Circus Games for Becky’s Charity “Meals on Wheels”
March 8, 2024 – Des Moines

10:00 am – Tour of Blank Children’s Hospital ~ Followed by Lunch at the “Machine Shed”
