SSG Joseph James up-dates

  Would you do us the service of getting this update out to everyone.
  Joe is doing fine. He has had his right prosthesis for a couple of months now and is getting along fine. He was casted for his left one 3 weeks ago, but haven't heard if he has it yet.

Bill,

  We spoke with Joe this Sunday and he could possibly be transferred to out-patient status anytime this week. He arrived in San Antonio Friday, May 2nd.  He is healing good. After getting there he acquired an upper intestinal virus that apparently he had brought back with him from Iraq, But is doing much better now. He will be starting his rehab soon now.
 We have an account set up at US Bank for donations. Anyone wishing to contribute may do so at any US Bank branch. All they to do is tell them they would like to donate to the Joseph James Donation Account.
  Could you please pass this information on to all of our Brothers & Sisters, As they have shown their concerns with the many cards and donations thus far.

Red Oak (Iowa) Eagle Aerie member SSG Joseph James, 25, was injured Monday,
April 7, in Iraq.  While out on a mission, the vehicle James was in hit a
road side bomb.  As a result of the explosion, SSG James lost both legs.
    Currently being prepared to transfer to Germany, he remains in serious
condition in a hospital in Baghdad.  He will then later be transferred to
Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington DC.
    SSG James is in the US Army stationed out of Ft Carson, CO.  He was on
his fourth tour in Iraq. 
    SSG James is the son of Red Oak Eagle Aerie President Ric Adams and his
wife, Sally.
    Cards may be sent to SSG James in care of the Red Oak Eagles Aerie.
